Matt Reeves The Batman is secretly Plan B for the DCEU.
So it was recently revealed by WB president Walter Hamarda, that there will be multiple Batman movies from different actors, with Matt Reeves Batman being separate from the main DCEU, in Earth 2, which I find odd because if DCEU and Arrowverse are set in the same Multiverse like the Crisis special implied, then I thought there already was an Earth 2? But, in any case this is what they said. But personally, I think it's BS. Not saying he's lying, it could very well be the case, but I personally think this is all a cover up, & that ladies and Gentlemen, that I am purposing today, is that Matt Reeves & Robert Pattinson's The Batman is secretly Plan B, in the event that Flashpoint bombs & they have to start everything all over again. If Flashpoint doesn't bomb and does well, then The Batman will remain it's on thing, under both the DC Black & DC Elseworlds Labels, but if Flashpoint bombs, then they will have that be the last film in the DCEU & restart from scratch, using Matt Reeves The Batman as there starting point. So what evidence I have for this secretly being the case, instead of the alternative, that it will really be it's own thing. Evidence:
It feels very odd that they are having two Batman run around on the big screen at the same time. Like in DCEU Post-Flashpoint, you will have Michael Keaton's Batman/Bruce Wayne, & then you will have another Batman in Battinson running around on Earth 2. Wouldn't that be a little bit confusing.
It feels weird how they are building this up and hyping this up as if it was the beginning of something bigger. Joker was hyped up to but not to the same extent, & it was also under the DC Black Label.
The Batman is getting a Gotham PD spin-off.
Extras for a Halloween party scene have been seen wearing costumes for Superman, Cheetah, & Wonder Woman.
I feel what they plan with Flashpoint & the DCEU moving forward is extremely risky, & I think the people at DC know this too. Like seriously, you know how risky this will be, having Keaton as the main Batman? So I think they may want Battinson around in the event that Flashpoint bombs & this Risky move was all for nothing.
Not to mention Battinson movie feels like the start of something bigger.
So, yeah, that's my evidence for why The Batman could be Plan B, but if this is the case, what will happen to Aquaman, Wonder Woman, & Harley Quinn? I mean Shazam! & Black Adam can easily be retrofitted into the new DC Universe, & Henry Cavil will probably be recasted as Superman (perhaps Michael B. Jordan?) if this happens, but what about Arthur, & Diana, & Harley? Well I see three scenarios:
They will let James Wan & Patty Jenkins finish there respective trilogies before they transition those two characters into the new universe, & fast track the last two Harley Quinn movies in her trilogy (Gotham City Sirens & if rumors were led to believe, some sort of Joker vs Harley Quinn movie), with the Suicide Squad from James Gunn being the last Suicide Squad movie of this universe.
They will try to retrofit Jason Mamoa's Aquaman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, & Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn into the main new DC timeline.
WB, AT&T, & DC will all just say screw it, cancel James Wan & Patty Jenkins respective trilogies before even letting them end & restart Aquaman & Wonder Woman from scratch, & get a blonde white actor in his early 20's to play Aquaman, with him having the comic book accurate costume from the beginning or have costume that's more closer to a amalgamation of his Injustice 2 attire & JL: Unlimited attire with the hook for a hand & everything, & get either a white, Raven black haired actress, a actual Greek actress, or a Brazilian actress in her early to mid 20's to play Wonder Woman, with Diana already superheroing by the time the universe starts, however she is not immortal to differentiate her from the Gal Gadot version, she would probably look like a mix between the more classic Pre-New 52 Wonder Woman & the most recent from of Wonder Woman in terms of inspiration. & then just keep Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn but explain it's a separate Harley in a separate continuity. Maybe have her make a joke about how she is in a new universe but can't remember anything from the old one or something (since she's basically Deadpool now).
Hear me out, TLDR; Jared Leto's Joker was not as bad as everyone said it was, and it was really cool to see a unique take on the role. He also wasn't given the chance to really show off his acting ability like every other Joker. DC should build up to make an Injustice League/Legion of Doom/Whatever you want to call it. Playing the Joker is an iconic role, and many people who nail the role (Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix for example) play him in their own unique way, that is essentially true to their demographic (oldemiddle aged men). Now talking about Jared Leto, I thought his joker put a unique spin on the appearance and role as a whole. His entire persona gave the Joker a modernized look. If a new Joker appeared in the world of crime, I would expect it to be like Jared Leto's portrayal. Also, Jared Leto is an amazing actor, so I think the production of suicide squad did him a disservice in limiting his screen time/giving 0 attention to his back story. I understand he wasn't the focus of SS, but they set him up to fail. In James Gunn's Suicide Squad I hope that we can see more of him and that he gives the "gangster persona" a second chance because I admired the unique character he was creating. Before I get my head torn off, I love the DC Universe, specifically the VILLAINS. Their casting is great, but overall I have been extremely disappointed with the films they have produced so far.(the exception of Shazam). I'm really hopeful with James Gunn working on Suicide squad and seeing the Rock train to play Black Adam is renewing some faith in me. I really think if they give Jared Leto another shot at it, maybe they could go somewhere with a DC Anti-Hero/Antagonist build up to the Injustice League, because at this point it is their only hope to redeem the mess of films they fucked up so far.
Discussion: My personal thoughts on the different live action Jokers
Was bored so I decided to watch all the Dc films featuring the Joker. It was interesting seeing each one in order an seeing how each direction had a different vision for the character. Im not gonna dictate which version I believe is the best just give some thoughts on how I felt about each one after seeing them. 1.Cesar Romero: I saw this one in Batman 1966 the movie he was fine very goofy but had watchable charm an was solid for what is pretty much a silly parody version of Batman for children. 2.Jack: This version I felt was the funniest Jack mugs as the Joker at one point. But he all ways stays entertaining an is very funny to watch. Yes its pretty much Jack playing himself but it works here I wish he could have put up little more of a psychical fight against batman though lol. But Jack was great here an very entertaining. Pretty much a crazy gangster Joker 3.Ledger:Most peoples favorite an my personal favorite part of it is the performance the other part is hes in the best written comic book film I have ever seen. This Joker is truly scary an entertaining hes pretty much a crazy suicidal anarchist. 4.Leto:This Joker seems to divide people because of the look an style of this Joker. Now lets forget about all the behind the scenes stuff like all the cuts an bad editing which obvious damaged the movie an Jokers role. Honestly for being so divisive I enjoyed it this is a Suicide Squad movie not a Joker movie so I thought for a side role that he was done well. I did feel like this Joker with the look an direction diddnt really feel like comic book Joker. He felt more like a else world version of Joker which I was fine with cause im not someone who minds directors doing different takes on the characters. Even though he was different feeling he still felt enough like the Joker for me. I also liked the look being a modern gangster cholo type criminal. I also diddnt have a problem with the direction to reinvent Joker as a modern gangster who owned clubs an had a grill. None of this bothered me because to me it felt unique an I got the vibe thats what the director was going for. I will say he was under developed an not used enough though.I can see why this Joker divides people though because he dose feel unique an his own thing. 5.Phoenix:Second favorite Joker version for myself this is sympathetic Joker an I thought the director an actor pulled it off I felt really sorry for him. I also like the more grounded look of this Joker he dosent have non changing smile or facial scars or metal grill he just a guy in makeup. Also I hope this film never gets a sequel as I feel a new film would undermine why this worked so well. 6:Conclusion I have actually enjoyed all the live action Jokers for being different takes.Yes some of them felt more like there own thing like Letos but I felt that version worked for his film an for being its own unique take. But all in all I thought every director an actor tried hard to give there own Joker a different feel.Look forward to seeing whats done with Joker in the future.
Adam Sandler said he would make a terrible film if he didn't win a Best Actor Academy Award for Uncut Gems. To help him out, I analyzed his films and their movie posters to come up with a perfectly bad Sandler film entitled 'Jacked Up'
Earlier in the year, Adam Sandler was a guest on Howard Stern’s show to discuss his starring role in the excellent Uncut Gems. During the interview, Sandler made a joke about what would happen if he didn’t win the Best Actor Academy Award. He told Howard: “If I don’t get it, I’m going to f–king come back and do one again that is so bad on purpose just to make you all pay. That’s how I get them.” In a bad news, bad news situation, Sandler wasn’t nominated, and he’s promised to make a terrible film (I’ll still watch it a few times regardless). In an effort to assist the Sandman with his terrible film, I dug through all of his films and analyzed their posters to come up with the objectively worst Sandler picture that could be made. Here it is:
Jacked Up
Directed by Dennis Dugan
Written By - Tim Herlihy
PG-13
Running Time: 135 minutes
Released on Netflix
Predicted Tomatometer score - 6%
Predicted IMDb score - 3.75
Adam Sandler plays a personal traineshoe salesman named Jack Goodheart who is married to Janet Goodheart (Also, Sandler, using a very off-putting voice). They travel to an exclusive resort in Costa Rica to attend his 30th high school anniversary during the fourth of July weekend. During the event, Rob Schneider (playing a terrorist) and his team of henchmen, hijack the event and take everyone hostage, including State Senator Chuck Finley (Terry Crews) and presidential candidate Casey Fitzpatrick (Maya Rudolph). During the melee, Jack and Janet escape, and the two use their past military experience and buff physiques to save the day. This PG-13 action-comedy is entitled “Jacked Up” and ends with a jet ski chase at the hotel’s lazy river pool that circles the hotel. The film is directed by Dennis Dugan, and co-stars Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Terry Crews, Steve Buscemi, Taylor Lautner, Luke Wilson, Peter Dinklage, Maya Rudolph, and Al Pacino. Here's the first fan made poster. I'll add as more people share. Thank you Kelkith Here is another fan made poster! Thank you TreMetal Another very fun poster! This is how I came up with the storyline. I pulled together his best and worst films to find patterns that appear. Here are Sandler's lowest rated films on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. I drew a lot of inspiration from them. Also, I tried to make this as objective as possible.
Jack and Jill (3% - 3.3 IMDb) - Two Sandler's - Jet Ski scene - Married - Holiday
Grown Ups 2 (7%) - Reunited with old friends - Married
Bulletproof (8%) - Action comedy
The Cobbler (9%) - Shoe repairman
The Do-Over (10%) - Action Comedy - Reunited with old friend - Married
Grown Ups (10%) - Reunited with old friends - Holiday - Married
Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights (12%)- Takes place during a holiday
Blended (14%) - He’s a dad who travels to Africa
Going Overboard (1.8 IMDb) - Lots of terrible boat action
The Week Of (5.1 IMDb) families get together for a wedding
Sandy Wexler (5.1 IMDb) - Sandler pulls a unique voice (which isn’t statistically a good thing
Here’s all I research I compiled to createJacked Up
A trademark of Sandler’s latest movies is that he likes to travel to beautiful locations to film (which is brilliant, and why not?). The Do-Over, Just Go With It, Blended, Grown Ups 1 & 2 and Murder Mystery are examples of his penchant for travel. The problem is, the films have a lower Tomatometer average (21.2%) than the films where he didn’t travel to nice locations (37.4%). This is why he travels in Jacked Up.
Sandler has several directors that he enjoys working with. Those Directors are Steven Brill, Dennis Dugan and Frank Coraci. Steven Brill (20%) has a lower Tomatometer average than Dennis Dugan (24%) and Frank Coraci (30%). However, Dugan is responsible for Jack & Jill, so I’m giving him the director’s chair. He did direct Happy Gilmore, so this could backfire on me. Frank Coraci directed The Ridiculous 6, but, I love the baseball scene and he also directed The Waterboy and The Wedding Singer.
Aside from You Don’t Mess With the Zohan (which is brilliant, and has a fun jet ski action scene), His action comedies are lackluster. Bulletproof (8%) and The Do-Over (9%) didn’t win him many points. That’s why Jacked Up features an action-centered plot.
His films featuring him as a married man have a 29% Tomatometer average. Movies featuring him as a single man have a 38% Average. Thus, the marriage to himself (think Jack & Jill) is included. It’s a double whammy
I picked Tim Herlihy to write because he wrote The Ridiculous Six, Grown Ups 2 and Pixels (8% average). I do love his Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy scripts though
His PG-13 (29%) rated films have a lower Tomatometer average than his R (51%) and PG-rated (45%) films. For Netflix, M rating = R and TV-14 = PG-13
Movies that feature Sandler doing a voice have a lower Tomatometer score (24.8%) than his regular voiced roles (36%).
None of his Fresh films feature a jet ski -50 first Dates(45%),Jack & Jill(3%) and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (37%) are all Rotten
In The Ridiculous Six, Grown Ups, The Do-Over, and Bulletproof he plays a totally capable man who isn’t an underdog like he is in Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. So, he can’t be a doofus during the action scenes.
Randomly enough, Rob Schneider shouldn’t adopt some kind of stereotyped character because his makeup-less roles have a lower Tomatometer average (27.6%) than his stereotyped roles (32%).
His lowest rated movies on IMDb are Going Overboard (1.5), Jack & Jill (3.3), The Ridiculous 6 (4.8), Sandy Wexler (5.1) and The Week Of (5.1) - These movies feature water exploits, gun fights, weird voices, two Sandlers, and large gatherings. These things are all in Jacked Up.
*Bulletproof (*$25 million), Little Nicky ($39 million) and Blended ($46 million) are a few of his lowest grossing comedies. In these films, he uses a wild voice, goes on vacations and engages in action shenanigans. I left out movies like Spanglish and Reign Over Me because they aren’t traditional Sandler comedies. Also, Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore weren’t huge earners. However, they established him as a force of nature.
His first or last name couldn’t begin with an “R” - Howard Ratner (Uncut Gems), Henry Roth (50 First Dates), Robbie Hart (The Wedding Singer).
WHAT DOES THE POSTER NEED TO LOOK LIKE?
He cannot be centered on the poster. His best films Punch Drunk Love, Happy Gilmore, Funny People and Uncut Gems feature him centered on the poster. The Wedding Singer, Reign Over Me and The Meyerowitz Stories don’t have him centered. However, the movie posters that have centered have a 48% Tomatometer Average. The Posters that have him on the left have a 30% Tomatometer average. I’m going with that.
There needs to be multiple people on the poster. When Sandler is alone on a poster, his movies have a 42% Tomatometer average. The movie posters with 4+ people have a 20% Tomatometer average. More is good.
In this poster he needs to be holding something random. In The Cobbler poster he is holding a coffee cup (this is important) and the movie has an 8% Tomatometer score. In The Wedding Singer (microphone) and Happy Gilmore (golf club) and The Waterboy (bucket, helmet) he is holding items related to his character. He needs to be holding something weird (like a can of sponsored coca-cola). Also, the posters that feature him holding an item (31%) have a lower Tomatometer score than the posters featuring him not holding anything (42%).
It’s best if his entire body is on the poster. The movie posters featuring a full-bodied Adam Sandler have a lower Tomatometer average (31%) than his partial body posters (43%).
Ideally, the title would be in the center, because Jack & Jill and The Ridiculous Six have somewhat centered titles.
Reimagining Batfleck in the DCEU Pt. II - A Different Present, Future
Link to Part I: https://www.reddit.com/fixingmovies/comments/k2hmb6/reimagining_batfleck_in_the_dceu_pt_i_the/ The Batman - March 2022 Sorry Robert Pattinson, but Matt Reeves will be directing someone else under the cowl. The solo Batfleck film would be released five years after his last appearance in Justice League, hopefully giving the actor time to sort out his personal life and take the burden of directing off his shoulders. Like I said in Part 1, I feel the biggest mistake with Batfleck in the DCEU was the lack of focus on the fallout from Joker killing Robin. In my opinion, it should've been the driving narrative factor behind this Batman but was shuffled off in the midst of a bunch of other confusing, half-baked stuff in the DCEU. This movie is set after JL in the DCEU's "present day." While this wouldn't take place inside Arkham Asylum, the facility does have a strong meaning and correlation to the film, which I'll get to later. The plot would center around someone putting out a bounty on Joker, who has finally returned to Gotham to reclaim his throne after disappearing at the end of 2016's The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn as the next crime boss in line to the throne, Black Mask, was killed in 2020's Birds of Prey, which did not involve Harley as she's still in prison awaiting James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. Batman has to defend his greatest enemy against Deathstroke, the man hired to kill The Joker after his benefactor managed to help him escape Arkham after the events of Justice League. In the film, Bats is pushed to his limit physically by the younger Deathstroke, mentally by Joker's mind games and emotionally by the memory of Robin, his greatest failure constantly staring him in the face. I'd also throw in a subplot of Deathstroke still being miffed that Robin once turned down an offer to leave Batman and be his ward, adding fuel to the issue with Bruce as Slade taunts him over being unable to keep the young man safer than Deathstroke claims he himself could have. This would consume the first two acts alongside Joker reacclimating himself to a Gotham that has moved on without him and Batman trying to solve the mystery of who hired Deathstroke to kill Joker. Since Batman has taken it upon himself to protect Joker's life, initially with the goal of eventually killing the clown himself, the two would be joined at the hip for most of the film like a dark buddy cop movie. We get badass fights between Bruce and Slade but also the tense roller-coaster interactions between Batman and Joker over whether The Bat will be pushed far enough to kill his arch-nemesis. While protecting Joker, Batman proves that even though he's older, he is still better than Deathstroke, Robin would not have been better off as Slade's protégé and despite Joker's best efforts to poke and prod him, he won't sink to his level and kill Slade. Thus, also proving his methods are superior in molding a young crimefighter like Robin instead of letting him become a paid killer like Slade. During the Batman-Deathstroke battle, a group of men kidnap Joker. Deathstroke is taken to Arkham by Gotham PD at the end of Act II as Batman follows behind to ensure Slade doesn't escape and to visit someone there who he believes wants Joker dead. Harley cameos as a red herring but Batman realizes she is not the mystery person in question during their intense conversation. After leaving Arkham, Batman receives a message from whoever wants Joker dead to meet them where they now have him captive which after some detective-like searching from Batman, ends up being the same spot where Batman found Robin's dead body years before. The location is inside the burnt down Wayne Manor. Batman beats up the same goons who took Joker earlier before hearing Joker's voice from another room. We then proceed to have the big bombshell dropped on us during a scene with Batman seeing Joker is all alone and completely fine: Wanting to remain relevant, The Joker put the hit out on himself in order to push Batman over the edge. The two brawl as Joker does and says anything he can to get Batman to use lethal force on him as Bruce restrains himself from going too far. We get info that Joker killed Robin in the manor before burning it to the ground as he was always and is aware Bruce Wayne is Batman, but doesn't care as he finds the cowl more interesting than the man himself. For years, Joker's plan was to drive Batman insane to be like just him. But after seeing Bruce came back to the light as the Justice League formed, Joker came to the conclusion that his plan had failed and needed to push things with Batman further. He needed to force Batman to kill him so The Dark Knight would become a monster beyond repair and Joker's legacy could live on forever. Even as Batman refuses to kill Joker after all he's done and all he will do in the future, Joker's promise of refusing to allow The Dark Knight to live in peace does not deter Bruce from simply walking away as he drops off his greatest foe off at Arkham, a place Joker said he'd rather die than go back to multiple times during their fight. Batman no longer hates Joker, but shows pity upon him in that moment over Joker's insecurities. Batman takes a long, hard looking at Arkham, a place he could've and probably should've ended up at some point but is just another playground for those like Joker and Deathstroke who fully gave into the evil that Wayne has been able to exorcise out of his system. He's found a way out of his own "asylum" but the criminals inside may never get or give themselves a chance to so. So, The Caped Crusader comes out of this with a greater empathy for the rogues he's come across over the years. He is similar to them in some ways but different in the most important aspects, he is better than them but not by as much as he once thought. The film ends with Bruce returning to the Batcave and tearfully embracing Alfred in front of Robin's encased suit, which has been cleaned of Joker's graffiti. We get a post-credit scene of Harley being transferred to Belle Reve as she taunts Joker from his cell that he is truly all alone and worthless now. Bruce is now able to move out of the asylum of pain and darkness his path brings unlike The Clown Prince of Crime, who will never not embrace his ironically similar path. It also gives Leto's Joker a more direct theme compared to his other live-action counterparts: in order to beat The Batman, he must get Batman to kill him. He's obsessed with pushing Batman past his limit and making him into a monster like him as Joker truly believes the only way their 20 year rivalry will end is with one of them dead. This Joker refuses to accept any other alternative, which is a joke in itself, which makes him different and even more dangerous than previous iterations. His goal is death at the hands of Batman, who Joker blames for all his evil deeds as a way of guilting him rather than honestly believing it. Joker will most likely escape from Arkham once again and will wreak havoc as Batman will be ready to chase after him like usual but without the baggage and hatred from before. Wayne is past the darkness that we first saw earlier and can continue help building the Justice League's future (recruiting new and younger heroes like Robin was) with a more optimistic outlook on his crimefighting career and life overall. He is not done yet though, as his next appearance would be later that year in November's The Flash in a mentor role similar to Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Whether or not that marks the last we see of Batfleck remains to be seen.
Exploring DC's Snyderverse: Past, Present, and Future
Not content with making the Snyder Cut a reality, fans are now campaigning for the SnyderVerse to be completed by Zack Snyder, the original Justice League director. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse Trends As Fans Campaign For Zack Snyder To Finish His DCEU Plan. So, in this post, we will explore what is the Snyderverse, and what was the original plan for Zack Snyder’s DC Superhero Universe. Please be sure to check out this post till the end to find out the latest updates and our speculations for the Snyderverse! I know this is a long post, and it took me a lot of time to write, so I hope you will show this some love. If you are not a fan of reading this much, you can watch it in video format on our YouTube channel: The link to the video is: https://youtu.be/7-oOcroRfEI If you decide to watch this, please do not forget to like the video and subscribe to our channel for more such content! We are looking for some love and support from fellow comics lovers to grow. Let's start! Zack Snyder rebooted the DC superhero universe with 2013's Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill as Superman. He followed this up with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, introducing Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Both films suffered from mixed reviews, with many saying they were too dark, while others enjoyed the director's trademark take on the material. Snyder was working on his third movie in the franchise, Justice League when he suffered a family tragedy and was forced to quit. As a result, that movie was completed by Joss Whedon and suffered from even worse reviews than the previous two efforts. That led to the Snyder Cut campaign, which bore fruit when Warner Bros announced in May that Snyder's cut of the movie would release on HBO Max in March 2021. Despite this, DC Films head Walter Hamada says the studio sees the Snyder Cut as a dead-end and won't be exploring the director's vision for the characters following its release. In response, fans are taking to Twitter to once again campaign for Snyder. The hashtag #RestoreTheSnyderVerse began trending. The hashtag features fans imploring DC to let Snyder complete his vision for the so-called SnyderVerse, and make his films canon again. Others were tweeting about the characters they'd like to see more of in any future movies. While fans are optimistic they'll be able to change the minds of DC and Warner Bros. with a new campaign, it's unlikely this one will be as successful as the original Snyder Cut campaign was. Studio executives saw the potential in releasing the Snyder Cut to promote their new streaming service, HBO Max. However, with a release plan, which includes introducing the DC Multiverse in The Flash, as well as The Batman and a new version of The Suicide Squad incoming in 2021 and 2022, it's clear DC has a plan in place for the DCEU. And, sadly for fans, that’s a pretty clear sign DC has moved on from the so-called SnyderVerse. The director, too, seems to have accepted that the Snyder Cut will be his final film with DC for a while, as he's already moving ahead with several projects, including a host with streaming service Netflix. So, despite the popularity of the hashtag on social media, it's most likely that the Justice League director's cut will the last fans will see of the SnyderVerse. As most would know at this point, Zack Snyder did not intend for his DC universe to compete with the MCU, but as 5 films with a beginning and end, that would take inspiration from various comic series to form his own Justice League storyline. Zack’s original idea was to have a 5-film, Elseworlds-style, Superman-driven, Justice League film series, and we know what four of these films would be. This is where we guess and offer our ideas on the potential storyline of DC’s former Snyderverse, as well as some ideas on what the fifth film would have been. Some of these ideas are official or confirmed by Zack Snyder himself, while others are pure guesses.
Man of Steel
The first installment in the Snyderverse is pretty much the same as the one released in 2013: a grounded take on Superman and his birth with small teases to the larger world Zack had in mind.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition)
It is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman comics. And the Ultimate Edition, a 3-hour epic that was never meant to give us classic takes on characters or follow a light tone as audiences expected. Just as it is now, the film teases the Justice League, the Knightmare world, time-traveling, Darkseid, and Steppenwolf. We are given a look at Batman’s past and the death of his sidekick, Robin, who Zack has confirmed was originally intended to be Dick Grayson. And towards the end, Superman dies, but his revival is hinted at.
Justice League Part 1
The plot would be similar to the film released in 2017, but with a few key differences. It would follow Batman and Wonder Woman recruiting Cyborg, Aquaman, and The Flash to defeat Steppenwolf and stop him from retrieving the three Mother Boxes on Earth. And Steppenwolf wants the mother boxes because his mother’s spirit is literally inside those boxes, it would’ve helped him to get even more powerful than Darkseid himself! Superman would be resurrected with his infamous black suit, but it is unclear whether he is resurrected by the League, or by Steppenwolf himself as a supporter of Darkseid. There’s also a possibility that the Green Lantern Corps would appear in a small role, teasing them for Justice League Part 2. Zack has also confirmed that when Lois is killed in the original Snyderverse, Superman becomes susceptible to the Anti-Life Equation and turns evil under Darkseid’s influence. I think that this would have played into this film, and it would end with Superman taking down the League. And The final scene would be the storyboard revealed by Zack Snyder: we see Darkseid opening a Mother Box, an explosion takes place that encompasses the entire planet, and we soon find Earth reflecting the Knightmare sequence from Batman v Superman.
Justice League Part 2
This sequel would have been inspired by the Injustice comics, as confirmed by Zack. This film would basically be the entire Knightmare sequence in-depth: a Mad Max: Fury Road-styled event involving the League trying to break Superman away from Darkseid’s influence and defeat the ruler of Apokolips. And a Green Lantern, probably Hal Jordan, would be the 7th member of the League in this film. It is possible that the death of Batman in that chamber seen in Batman v Superman would be a purposeful diversion to distract Superman, whose main goal would be to avenge Lois. This would buy enough time for the League to defeat Darkseid somehow. My guess is that this would be where The Flash goes back in time to warn Bruce, save Lois, and end Darkseid’s reign. This, of course, would have major repercussions. In the end, all we see is that the Knightmare is over and The Flash has returned to the current timeline, and we are left unaware of the League’s status, or Darkseid’s whereabouts. Regardless, it would likely be made clear that something isn’t right, and a major issue remains. I’m not sure what this issue would be, unfortunately, but it is my belief that this would have to do with either the Flashpoint storyline.
??? (Maybe Flashpoint or Justice League Part 3)
This project was one of the most mysterious aspects of the Snyderverse, we were continually told about the films from Man of Steel to Justice League Part 2, but we were never told what exactly the final film was called or was about, aside from it supposedly tying together the entire Snyderverse. And our guess is that after The Flash went back in time, we would see a Flashpoint-like situation where everything has changed, such as Jeffery Dean Morgan being Batman, but it would not follow the comics. Instead, Zack would create an alternate universe with the New Gods as villains that some form of the League must defeat. The film would end with characters like Batman coming to terms with their career and the losses they have faced, and Superman becoming the hero we all know and love. It remains to be revealed what Zack’s plans were, and we can only hope that Zack does inform fans at some point. In a recent conversation on the ComicBook Debate YouTube show, Zack Snyder talked about his future in the DCEU. In the midst of 'restore the Snyderverse' fans campaign, he was asked if he would do more projects ahead. He said that he never thought he would be finishing his version of Justice League. The filmmaker stated that he has no issues with his project being an old movie on which he is working for years. Snyder mentioned that the DC Universe has gone and branched off and done its own thing which is fine for him. As far as what he did and his vision for what he wanted to do with these characters and the journey he wanted them to go on. Zack Snyder asserted that it is well known that he planned on more movies, around five films or something (including Justice League 2), but he is busy now and has a lot going on. He admitted that it is cool and amazing that the fans have so much faith in the trajectory. The filmmaker expressed that he could not be happier and is excited for the fans to see Justice League so they can "really drink the entire elixir" of JL. He stated that he has no plan to continue in the DCEU. But noted that, 'who knows'' if his cut can see the light of the day and more things could take place. Zack Snyder originally had big plans in the DCEU. He would have reportedly done a Man of Steel 2 with Henry Cavill, followed by Justice League 2 and 3, with a few more projects. However, the failure of the theatrical version of JL and the creative conflict led to his departure from Warner Bros Studios for quite a long time. Now as Zack Snyder's Justice League will be arriving soon, fans are eagerly waiting for what it has to offer. The project will be a four-hour-long miniseries consisting of never seen before footage. With the Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie coming to HBO Max, many fans and even Zack Snyder himself hoped for the "Snyder Verse" to continue on the streaming service. However, now that may not be happening. Following the Snyder Cut getting announced, all kinds of rumors and speculation hit the net regarding a "Snyder Verse" getting created on HBO Max that would involve Zack Snyder creating additional Justice League movies, with projects involving Ben Affleck back as Batman, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Jared Leto as Joker, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and more potentially in the works. ZACK EXCITED FOR JUSTICE LEAGUE SEQUELS Zack has enthusiastically and excitably gone on record that he has ideas for a Justice League sequel involving Darkseid on Earth, and Zack even discussed how his Snyder Verse is part of the DC Multiverse, part of an Elseworld Multiverse. The Hollywood trade sites even reported that if Zack Snyder's Justice League proves to be successful for HBO Max that it seems likely Zack Snyder would be able to two sequels to Justice League that would complete his five-film arc. Ben Affleck is also being brought back as Batman for The Flash movie, which at first was thought to be building anticipation and hype for Affleck to do his own version of The Batman on HBO Max, but now it is being said the appearance is to just give the character a proper send-off. Two additional factors why the Snyder Verse might not be moving forward on HBO Max could be Wonder Woman 1984 and Ray fisher. The Hollywood trades also reported that if Wonder Woman 1984 was a success on HBO Max it would help lead to other projects. Well, WW84 is downright awful and hasn't been received well by the critics and fans alike, and it doesn't seem as if the HBO Max release led to a heap of new subscribers (where's the big announcement from WB?), so WarnerMedia could be rethinking its strategy of what to release on HBO Max, which may include rethinking the release of its 17-movie slate in 2021 (producers, directors, actors are not happy at all). Regarding Ray Fisher, Fisher recently blasted Walter Hamada following the NY Times interview and said he will never work on another film Hamada is involved with. Shortly after, WB extended Hamada's DC films deal, and now it's said Ray Fisher is not appearing in The Flash and that Cyborg has been completely written out of The Flash. Obviously, doing the math, WB went with Hamada over Fisher, which is a no brainer. We can assume that if Zack Snyder was going to complete his two Justice League films for HBO Max that he would have wanted Fisher back as Cyborg - who Zack says is the heart of the Justice League - but it's likely WarnerMedia probably said Fisher can hit the high road, so as Zack wouldn't recast Cyborg, he is probably finally done with all the BS at WB and is done with DC. Another issue could be Geoff Johns who has been said to have stabbed Snyder in the back and is responsible for Ben Affleck leaving the Batman role. Then again, if the Snyder Cut turns out to be a huge success in terms of new subscribers for HBO Max, anything could happen.
Please let me know your thoughts on these plot points and my speculation, if I missed anything, or if you have ideas you’d like to add (especially for the final movie). Please let me know your thoughts on these plot points and my speculation, if I missed anything, or if you have ideas you’d like to add (especially for the final movie).
